It’s marvellous

it’s marvellous
when one is both
the good luck we watch over
it’s marvellous
when one is in love
the beautiful days we watch over {instead of se réveillent = awaken}
it’s marvellous
life is waiting {instead of peinte = painted} in blue {also = bruises}
with big sunburn {literally = blows of sun}
seeing that I love you and you love me
it’s marvellous

explanations
Eddi sings only the chorus of this song, ad lib in response to a request from the audience to ‘sing in French’ (see the commentary below!). She has a few of the words differently to the version on the website name and I have tried to transcribe Eddi. The attempted translation is literal not a singing version.

A good source of French song lyrics is www.paroles.net.

commentary
Eddi said
in the lead up to this impromptu performance, members of the audience (one persistent!) are calling out: “Willie Stewart”, “Scarecrow”, “Exception”, ”Scarecrow”, “Hummingbird”, “Dear John”, “Scarecrow, Dear John”, “sing in French”, and Eddi responds: “Sing in French? Pourquoi tu vu ma chanté en francais?”. I can’t quite catch the next audience contributions, but Eddi answers: “I'm good at it” and then launches into C’est merveilleux
